Default trial is 14 days. If you need more time — common reasons: you’re mid-onboarding, your team is on vacation, you’re waiting on Twilio A2P approval — you can request an extension.

Request an extension

1

Open Settings → Billing

Scroll to the Trial extension request card. (Only visible during a live trial.)
2

Pick the days you want

Up to 14 additional days max via self-serve. For longer extensions (30+), email support directly with the reason.
3

Add a reason

Optional but helpful — tells us what you’re waiting on, helps us approve faster, and tells us where to improve onboarding.
4

Submit

A request goes to our team. We typically respond within a business day.

Approval

Reasonable requests are usually approved automatically. Reasons we approve:
  • “Still wiring up Twilio carrier forwarding” — yes
  • “Team on vacation, want to wait until everyone’s back to test” — yes
  • “Onboarding meeting scheduled next week” — yes
  • “Just want to think about it more” — yes (we’ll often approve a 7-day extension for genuine deliberation)
Reasons we don’t auto-approve:
  • Multiple consecutive extensions on the same trial (one is fine, two is borderline, three signals you might not actually be ready to commit; we’ll respond and ask what’s going on)
  • Brand-new account that’s never logged in (we want trials to be used)

What happens during the extension

Identical to the original trial. All features available, all caps in place. You’re not charged.

Extension expiry

When the extension lapses:
  • Your account moves to “trial expired” — read-only access
  • The dashboard banner directs you to pick a plan and add a payment method
  • Your data is preserved (forms, contacts, conversations, settings) — picking a plan re-activates everything immediately
There’s no penalty for letting a trial expire and coming back later. You won’t lose your phone number or any data.

Already-extended, still need more?

Email support. Beyond a single 14-day extension, we generally want to understand the root cause — usually it’s an onboarding blocker we can fix, not “more trial time.”

Trial-extension philosophy

We’d rather you take an extra week and become a real customer who’s set up properly than rush to billing on a half-configured account that frustrates you and churns. The extension flow exists because we believe that.
