You can install ServiceBooked on your iOS or Android device as a Progressive Web App (PWA). This gives you quick access from your home screen and allows you to receive push notifications for important updates.

iOS (iPhone and iPad)

To install the app on your iOS device, you must use the Safari browser.
  1. Open Safari and navigate to the ServiceBooked dashboard at app.servicebooked.ca.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  4. Scroll down the share menu and tap Add to Home Screen.
  5. Tap Add in the top right corner to confirm.
The ServiceBooked icon will now appear on your home screen. Tap it to launch the app.

Android

To install the app on your Android device, you must use the Chrome browser.
  1. Open Chrome and navigate to the ServiceBooked dashboard at app.servicebooked.ca.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. A prompt may appear at the bottom of the screen asking if you want to add the app to your home screen. If it does, tap Add to Home screen and follow the prompts.
  4. If the prompt does not appear, tap the Menu icon (three vertical dots) in the top right corner of the browser.
  5. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
  6. Tap Install or Add to confirm.
The ServiceBooked icon will now appear on your home screen or in your app drawer.

Sign in with Face ID or fingerprint

Once the app is on your home screen, you can turn on biometric sign-in so you don’t have to type your password every time.
  1. Open the ServiceBooked app and sign in with your email and password once.
  2. Go to Settings → Account and find Biometric sign-in.
  3. Tap Enable biometric sign-in and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your fingerprint when prompted.
From then on, the login screen shows a Sign in as [your email] button — tap it and confirm with your biometric to get straight in. Your password always still works as a backup. A few things to know:
  • Biometrics are set up per device — enable it on each phone or tablet you use. You can enroll several devices, and remove any of them from Settings → Account → Biometric sign-in.
  • Your fingerprint or face data never leaves your device — ServiceBooked only stores a secure key, never your biometric itself.
  • If a device is lost, removing it here (or resetting your password) stops it from signing in.
  • The button only appears on devices that support biometrics (a phone with Face ID/fingerprint, or a laptop with Windows Hello / Touch ID) and where you’ve enrolled.

Enable push notifications

Once you have installed the app on your home screen, you can enable push notifications to stay updated on new messages and alerts.
  1. Open the ServiceBooked app from your home screen.
  2. Navigate to the Account tab within the app.
  3. You will see a prompt asking for permission to send notifications. Tap Allow.
