For the review funnel to send customers to your Google reviews, ServiceBooked needs your Google Business Profile (GBP) review URL. Once configured, a star tap redirects there (in the default All → public mode, every rating redirects; in Feedback first, the 4–5★ taps do, and 1–3★ are offered the link after leaving feedback). Connecting GBP also unlocks reading and replying to your incoming reviews.

Get your review URL

1

Go to your Google Business Profile

Sign in to business.google.com with the Google account that manages your business listing. If you don’t have a Google Business Profile yet, create one first — without it, customers can’t leave Google reviews regardless of what we do.
2

Click 'Get more reviews'

From your business profile dashboard, click the Get more reviews button. Sometimes labeled Ask for reviews depending on your account view.
3

Copy the link

Google gives you a shareable URL. It looks like:
https://g.page/r/CcxxxxxxxxxxxEAE/review
Copy the full URL.
4

Paste into ServiceBooked

Open Settings → Business in your dashboard. Find the Google review URL field. Paste your URL. Save.
5

Test

Send yourself a manual review request from any contact’s detail page. Tap a 5-star rating on the page that loads. You should redirect to your Google review page.

What if I don’t have a Google Business Profile?

You should — even without ServiceBooked. A GBP listing is how customers find you on Google Maps and Google Search. It’s free and takes ~10 minutes to set up. Create your Google Business Profile → If you don’t want one (some businesses prefer to remain off Google), the funnel still works — with no review URL set, star taps that would normally redirect to Google show a “Thanks for the kind words!” message instead. In Feedback first mode, 1–3★ ratings still capture private feedback for you.

Multiple locations

If you have multiple GBP listings (one per location), configure each ServiceBooked organization with the relevant location’s review URL. We don’t currently support per-deal location-aware routing within one org.

What if my GBP URL doesn’t work?

Most issues are URL format. Some old GBP accounts give you URLs like:
These work, but the new short format (g.page/r/...) is preferred. Use Get more reviews in your GBP dashboard to get the canonical short URL. If your URL redirects to an empty Google search page, your GBP might be unverified — finish verification first.

Pulling reviews back into ServiceBooked

We can’t read existing reviews on Google (their API doesn’t allow it for non-enterprise plans). What ServiceBooked tracks is:
  • How many requests we sent
  • The star-rating breakdown and how many redirected to Google
  • How much private feedback came in (Feedback-first mode)
Combine this with periodic manual checks of your Google reviews dashboard to know your real public-review trend.
