Pricing & plans
Is there a free plan?
No, but there’s a 14-day free trial that doesn’t require a credit card upfront. You add a card on day 1; you’re not charged until day 15. Cancel anytime before then with one click.Can I change plans during my trial?
Yes — switch to any plan from Settings → Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades wait for the period to roll over.Do unused minutes / conversations roll over?
No. Caps reset each billing period (monthly, even on annual plans). Use it or lose it.What happens if I cancel?
Your subscription continues until the end of your current period. After that, your account becomes read-only — you can log in and view data but can’t accept new calls or send new messages. Re-subscribing within 30 days restores everything. After 30 days, data is purged.Phone & SMS
Can I keep my existing business number?
Yes — see Connect your phone number, Option B. Your carrier forwards unanswered calls to ServiceBooked.Does ServiceBooked work with toll-free numbers?
Yes for receiving calls. Toll-free numbers have different A2P regulations for SMS — talk to support if you have a toll-free number; we may need to register your business slightly differently.Can I have multiple phone numbers?
One per ServiceBooked organization currently. For multi-location operations, run one org per location.What’s “A2P 10DLC” and do I need it?
US carriers require A2P (Application-to-Person) registration for business SMS. If you have any US customers, you need it. See A2P 10DLC. Canadian-only operators don’t.Does ServiceBooked record my voice calls?
Yes, calls handled by the AI are recorded for transcript + review purposes. The AI’s greeting includes a recording disclosure to satisfy two-party consent laws. Recordings are kept 90 days then auto-purged.AI behavior
Does the AI lie to customers?
No. The AI uses your business profile + knowledge base for facts. If asked something it doesn’t know, it’ll say so honestly (“I’m not sure — let me have someone get back to you on that”) and escalate to you. We’ve never seen it confidently fabricate.Can I review what the AI said before it sends?
Not by default — that defeats the speed advantage. But you can pause AI replies on a specific conversation if you want to take over manually. There’s no “draft mode” where the AI proposes replies for you to approve before sending.What language does the AI speak?
By default, English. Configurable in Settings → Voice → Language for voice, and the AI also detects the customer’s language in chat and replies in kind for major languages (Spanish, French, etc.).Can the AI book outside business hours?
Yes — it can take bookings 24/7 against your calendar (since calendar slots aren’t tied to business hours). But it’ll mention your business hours when relevant (“we’ll call you Monday to confirm”). If you want the AI to NEVER engage outside business hours, set AI hours behavior tosilent in Settings → Business. The AI just won’t reply until you’re open.

Will the AI book over my personal events?
No — it respects every event marked busy on the connected calendar. If you don’t want the AI booking over personal time, mark personal events as “busy” (the default in Google Calendar).Can I have different calendars for different services?
Currently no — one calendar per ServiceBooked org. A workaround: use a single bookings calendar in Google, with custom event titles to distinguish service types after the fact.What if I delete an AI-booked appointment?
The customer is notified automatically (cancellation workflow if enabled). The AI sees it as cancelled and won’t double-book the slot.Data & privacy
Where is my data stored?
On secure cloud infrastructure in Canada (with US replicas for redundancy). All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.Can I export my data?
Yes — Settings → Account → Data export generates a JSON dump of everything in your account. Use for backups, GDPR data subject access requests, or migrating off the product.Do you train AI models on my data?
No. Customer conversations and contact data are never used to train AI models — yours or anyone else’s. The AI uses your knowledge base + business profile as context for each reply, but those replies don’t feed back into model training.What if I want to delete everything?
Settings → Account → Delete account. Closes the account, cancels billing, and starts a 30-day soft-delete window. After 30 days, data is permanently purged from active systems (backups roll off within 90 days).Are my customer conversations confidential?
Yes — only your team members (org owners + admins + members) can read your conversations. ServiceBooked staff can access your data only when investigating a support ticket you’ve opened, and only with your explicit consent.Team & access
Can I have unlimited team members?
Yes — there’s no per-user fee. Plans are sized for typical operations (1–3 for Starter, 1–5 for Growth, 5+ for Pro), but the cap is on conversations / minutes / forms, not users.Can a teammate access from a different country?
Yes — works anywhere with a browser. We don’t geo-restrict access.What if a teammate leaves?
Remove them from Settings → Team. They lose access immediately. Their existing work (tasks, conversations they touched) stays in your system.Billing
What payment methods?
Stripe-supported: credit cards (Visa, MC, Amex, Discover), debit cards, ACH (US), Pre-Authorized Debit (Canada). No PayPal currently.Can I get an invoice / receipt for my expense reports?
Every payment generates an invoice in Settings → Billing → Invoice history with downloadable PDF.Can I prepay annually?
Yes — annual billing typically gets you a 20% discount (2 months free). Switch from monthly to annual any time in Settings → Billing.Tax-exempt?
